Several LHEC members noticed that the sand was missing in the majority of the East Beach of Lake Harriet this Spring, so we contacted our MPRB Park Commissioner Cathy Abene to help us go through the proper channels to see how to have new sand added to the beach....knowing that beach season was approaching quickly...and no one likes to sit on a beach of dirt. After a few discussions, a load of wonderful white sand was delivered and spread around all of the beach in early June to create a heavenly cushion for all beach goers.
